We're very proud to tell you that we've just been recognised by The Society of British Interior Design (SBID) for our on-going restaurant refresh programme.
The inaugural SBID International Awards 2011 ceremony, which attracted entries from a wide array of high-end designers and architects around the world, was held on 11 September at the internationally recognised Maison & Objet exhibition in Paris.
We picked up our award for 'Best Commercial Design', beating over 100 other projects including ones from Japan, Kuwait and Spain. Peter Bierwirth, head of the judging panel, said:
‘A restaurant's design must be authentic, entertaining and inviting, putting the guest in the centre of interest. It must also be ‘practical', allowing staff to work efficiently with hardware that survives the rough commercial wear and tear. Strada's restaurant concept combines those prerequisites in a most remarkable way.'
At Strada we firmly believe great food and service go hand in hand with stylish and memorable restaurant interiors to create a fantastic dining occasion, so it's nice to receive this award as recognition for our efforts. Most importantly, we hope that you enjoy eating in Stradas as much as we like designing them!
